The IPB University School of Business (SB-IPB) was established with the aim of producing responsible and competent business leaders, particularly in industries based on natural resources and biosciences. With a focus on sustainability, entrepreneurship, and a global perspective, SB-IPB is committed to providing high-quality education, innovative research, and impactful community service. SB-IPB envisions becoming a center of excellence in the development of knowledge and business leaders, with a focus on industries based on resources and life sciences. SB-IPB has a long history in business education, beginning in 1991 as the Agribusiness Management Master’s Program, which later expanded to offer undergraduate to doctoral programs.
The educational programs offered include Undergraduate (S1), Master’s (S2), and Doctoral (S3) degrees. At the undergraduate level, students are equipped with fundamental business skills, analytical abilities, and a global understanding of business management. The Master’s program focuses on developing managerial skills, leadership, and strategic decision-making, with an emphasis on agribusiness and natural resource-based industries. Meanwhile, the Doctoral program combines in-depth research with business practice to make significant contributions to the business world and management science.
The excellence of SB-IPB is also reflected in the national and international accreditations it has received. The “Excellent” accreditation from LAMEMBA and international certification from ABEST21, based in Tokyo, Japan, demonstrate the institution’s commitment to high educational standards both nationally and globally. SB-IPB offers an interdisciplinary approach that integrates various fields of study, such as agribusiness, technology, and biosciences, in each of its programs. This allows students to gain broad and comprehensive insights into the ever-evolving business world.
In addition to formal education, SB-IPB provides students with opportunities for self-development through various practical activities, such as the Integrated Entrepreneurship Program (PKT), field visits, and international student exchange programs. Collaborations with universities in ASEAN, Japan, South Korea, Europe, and other countries provide students with valuable global experiences, which are essential in today’s business environment.
