SB-IPB and Satbayev University Strengthen Collaboration in Education, Research, and Academic Mobility

Friday, 28 November 2025, The international partnership between the School of Business IPB University (SB-IPB) and Satbayev University (SU), Kazakhstan, was further strengthened through a collaborative discussion and the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) on Friday, 28 November 2025. The meeting took place in Meeting Room PB 302 at Satbayev University and marked a strategic step for both institutions in expanding their global academic network.

The discussion was attended by representatives from both universities. SB-IPB was represented by Dr. Siti Jahroh, Head of the Undergraduate Program, and Dr. Nur Hasanah, Vice Head of the Master Program. Satbayev University was represented by Samgat Yermekbayev, Board Member & First Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Strategic Development; Bakytzhan Amiralinov, Director of the E. Turtkelbay Institute for Project Management; Yerkebulan Kurybayn, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Office; and Daryn Korpebayev, Head of the Academic Mobility Division.

During the meeting, both parties explored potential areas of collaboration that can be implemented in the near future. The agreed initiatives include Satbayev University’s participation in ABEATS 2026 to be hosted in Indonesia, involvement of SU students and faculty members in the SB-IPB summer course program, and the exploration of student exchange opportunities for SB-IPB international class students to undertake academic mobility at Satbayev University.

The discussion concluded with the formal signing of the Letter of Intent, symbolizing the shared commitment of both institutions to developing sustainable academic cooperation. Through this partnership, SB-IPB and Satbayev University aim to further strengthen institutional capacity through collaborative activities, knowledge exchange, and academic programs that offer direct benefits to students, faculty members, and the wider academic community.

This collaboration reinforces SB-IPB’s commitment to expanding its international network and providing global learning experiences for its academic community, aligning with the institution’s vision to become an internationally competitive and esteemed school of business.
