School of Business IPB Wins Highest Award for Public Information Transparency within IPB

The IPB Business School achieved an “Informative” qualification with the highest score in the Public Information Openness Award for faculties/schools as Implementing Public Information Management Officials (PPID). The award was based on the results of the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Internal Public Information Openness for IPB Implementing PPIDs in 2025.

The award was presented at the “Public Information Openness Workshop for Implementing PPIDs” at the Andi Hakim Nasution Auditorium, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor (17/7). The award was received directly by the Vice Dean for Resources, Cooperation, and Development (SKP) Dr. Tanti Novianti, SP, MSi, who received it directly from the Chairman of KIP, Dr. Donny Yoesgiantoro.

The event also included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IPB University and the Central Information Commission (KIP). The MoU was signed directly by the Rector of IPB University, Prof. Arif Satria, and the Chairman of KIP, Dr. Donny Yoesgiantoro.

In his speech, the Rector of IPB University emphasized the importance of transparency and information openness for public institutions. “As an institution funded by public funds, IPB University must be able to manage information wisely. Some information needs to be disclosed, and some must remain confidential,” said Prof. Arif. He also highlighted experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic that led to many information disputes. “When the public wanted to know who was infected, there were legal limitations related to patient confidentiality. This is where the importance of public institutions consulting with KIP comes in, to maintain the balance between public rights and privacy protection,” he explained.

Congratulations to the Business School for its achievement, and may this be the beginning of many more accomplishments in the future. (ty)
