SB IPB University and Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance Promote Islamic Investment Literacy through ST016 Savings Sukuk Public Lecture

Bogor, June 3, 2026 — The School of Business IPB University, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Budget Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, organized a public lecture entitled “Safe Strategies for Islamic Investment through ST016 Savings Sukuk” at the IBIS Lecture Hall, School of Business IPB University. The event formed part of a joint effort to enhance public understanding—particularly among academics and young generations—of safe, inclusive, and sustainable financial management and Islamic investment practices.

The event commenced with opening remarks from the Dean of the School of Business IPB University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Noer Azam Achsani, MS. In his remarks, Prof. Azam emphasized the importance of financial literacy as a foundation for young people to make informed and responsible financial decisions.

The main session featured Mhd. Iqbal Balative, Ph.D., Deputy Director of Sharia Financing at DJPPR, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. During his presentation, he provided insights into various aspects of Islamic investment through the ST016 Savings Sukuk, including its characteristics, benefits, and role in supporting sustainable development. The session highlighted the importance of understanding secure investment instruments that align with Islamic financial principles.

The discussion was moderated by Dr. Muchamad Bachtiar, S.T.P., M.M., a faculty member of the School of Business IPB University. Through an interactive question-and-answer session, participants had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of personal financial management and investment strategies that can support better long-term financial planning.
