SB IPB University Hosts Universiti Sains Malaysia Expert for Sustainability Reporting Seminar and International Research Career Workshop

Bogor, July 21–22, 2026 — Sekolah Bisnis IPB University hosted a series of international academic activities featuring Prof. Azlan Bin Amran from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Held over two consecutive days, the program included a seminar and a workshop designed to broaden participants’ perspectives on the evolving landscape of sustainability reporting and the development of academic careers in the global research community.

On the first day, July 21, Prof. Azlan delivered a seminar entitled The Evolution of Sustainability Reporting. The session explored how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting has evolved beyond a corporate compliance requirement to become a key strategic instrument for creating long-term business value and sustainability. The seminar encouraged interactive discussions on contemporary sustainability practices from both business and academic perspectives.

The program continued on July 22 with a workshop entitled Research and Academic Career, specifically designed for young scientists and postgraduate students of Sekolah Bisnis IPB University. During the session, Prof. Azlan shared insights on building a successful academic career, enhancing research quality, and preparing scholarly publications for internationally reputable journals. The workshop also provided participants with an opportunity to exchange ideas and gain broader perspectives on developing their capabilities as researchers within the global academic landscape.
