School of Business IPB Equips Students Through the “Money Smart Graduate” Program to Face Digital Financial Challenges
The School of Business IPB organized an intensive financial literacy education program titled “Money Smart Graduate.” The program was specifically designed to provide young generations with a deeper understanding of financial management through a series of five hybrid sessions (a combination of offline and online learning).
The program was officially opened by Dr. Zenal Asikin. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that financial intelligence is a crucial skill that students must possess before entering the professional world, enabling them to manage their earnings wisely and sustainably.
The first session, held on Friday, May 8, 2026, was attended by students within the IPB community. This opening session featured financial expert Gilman Pradana Nugraha as the main speaker, discussing the broad topic of modern financial management. The event was moderated by Anggi Mayang Sari, who served as the person in charge of the program.
“In the digital era, financial challenges are becoming increasingly real. Fresh graduates not only need to think about how to earn income, but also how to build a personal financial system that can protect them from economic traps,” said Gilman during the session.
The materials presented in the first session covered several strategic topics:
- Personal Finance in the Digital Era: Adapting financial management practices using the latest digital tools and platforms.
- Income vs Wealth vs Cashflow: Understanding that true wealth is not solely measured by salary size, but by cash flow and managed assets.
- Middle Income Trap: Providing insights to help participants plan long-term finances and avoid income stagnation.
- Introduction to Personal Money System: The fundamentals of building a structured personal financial system.
The Money Smart Graduate program will continue over the next four sessions with discussions that are increasingly practical and applicable. Through this initiative, the School of Business IPB is committed to producing graduates who are not only competent in business, but also financially smart and independent.
