The School of Business IPB University has once again achieved a notable milestone through the success of several faculty members who have been awarded funding under the 2026 Dosen Pulang Kampung Program. This achievement reflects the School’s strong commitment to strengthening the role of higher education institutions through innovative, practical, and impactful community engagement initiatives that contribute directly to rural development in Indonesia.

The Dosen Pulang Kampung Program is an initiative that encourages faculty members to apply their expertise and research outcomes to address various challenges faced by local communities. Through this program, faculty members not only contribute to academic advancement but also play an active role in improving community welfare through empowerment-based and sustainable approaches.

In the 2026 program, three faculty members from the School of Business IPB University successfully secured funding by proposing community engagement initiatives that address local needs and support rural economic development.

Dr. Siti Jahroh, B.Sc., M.Sc. leads a program entitled “Development of a Freshwater Fisheries-Based Agro-Aquaculture Ecosystem for Food and Environmental Security.” The initiative focuses on developing an integrated ecosystem that supports food security while promoting environmental sustainability through the optimization of the freshwater fisheries sector.

Meanwhile, Dr. Nimmi Zulbainarni, S.Pi., M.Si. proposes a program titled “Digital Transformation of Fishery Product MSMEs: Branding and Live Commerce Strategies for Accessing the Upper-Middle Market.” The program aims to strengthen the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises through the adoption of digital technologies, modern marketing strategies, and expanded market access.

In addition, Dr. Asep Taryana, S.T.P., M.M. is developing a program entitled “Development of a Goat-Based Agro-Livestock Ecosystem for Rural Economic and Environmental Resilience.” The initiative seeks to create a sustainable rural development model through the integration of livestock farming and community empowerment.

The success of these faculty members in securing funding reflects the School of Business IPB University’s commitment to advancing the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the area of community engagement. The funded programs demonstrate the institution’s tangible contribution to delivering knowledge-based solutions that support food security, digital transformation, economic empowerment, and sustainable rural development.
